Local-first mood journal
Emotions
Tracker
A private place to notice how you feel. No account, no cloud, no one reading over your shoulder. Every check-in stays in the browser until you decide to share it.
01 — The premise
The most private database is the one that never leaves your browser.
Most mood trackers ask you to trust a company with the most personal data you own. Emotions Tracker starts from the opposite assumption: the journal is yours, so the journal should stay with you.
Everything runs in the browser. There is no sign-up, no sync service, and no third-party analytics script quietly watching which days are hard. The trade is deliberate: you give up automatic cloud backup, and you get a record that nobody else can read.

02 — The check-in
Seven feelings.
Five intensities.
One honest line.
The emotion wheel is built on the seven basic emotions, then opens into more specific words. Pick the closest one, set how strong it feels, and add a note only if you want to. The whole check-in takes under a minute.
A daily rhythm is encouraged, not enforced. Missing a day is not a failed streak; it is just a day.

Walked home instead of taking the bus. Needed the air more than the speed.
03 — The week
A journal, not a dashboard.
The charts are there to help you notice, not to grade you. There are no streaks to protect, no scores to optimise, and no nudges telling you that you have not checked in enough this week.
Slow morning. Made coffee instead of opening email first. The anxiety showed up around noon, but it passed before the walk.

04 — Sharing
Share it like a note,
not a feed.
Therapists can keep clients in separate profiles and review a chosen date range together. Sharing happens through a QR handoff or an export token: you pick the range, the other device scans it, and nothing passes through a server in between.
The same rule applies to exports. If you want a file, you make one. The app does not make one for you.

You choose the range. You choose the person. You choose when.
05 — What stayed out
A shorter feature list,
on purpose.
No account
There is no profile to create and no password to forget. Opening the app is the whole onboarding.
01No cloud
Entries are written to the browser. The app does not have a server that could lose, sell, or read them.
02No analytics
No third-party scripts watch the journal. The only person learning from the data is you.
03No paywall
The trackers, charts, and printable worksheet stay free. Support is a choice, not a gate.
